Through research and an interview with VisitAalborg, we got a clear indication that tourists who arrive by cruise ships have a hard time exploring the city in a given timeframe.

Our initial research revealed how a wearable device for exploring new surroundings, frees tourists and enables them to become explorers rather than tourists as it is seamless for the wearer as well as it has a cause of navigating them. From here, we made extrinsic research to dig deeper into different ways of navigating with a wearable device and found thermal feedback to be interesting. Further, we initiated an investigation in materials to learn more about their properties as well as their possibilities and limitations. We started sketching amazing ideas and then built a functional prototype.
A physical prototype consisting of a pair of gloves, conductive thread, and components that were hooked up to a computer.
